Parade Home Tour: Office

What do you think about color drenching?! I hadn’t even heard of it when this room color was selected, but I def wanted it to be the same color for ceiling walls and baseboard… this is Benjamin Moore Pashmina and it’s dreamy! I love that it’s a mid tone color — with a saturated feel that isn’t too heavy.

This office is right off the entry so we wanted it to make a statement while also being warm, sophisticated & inviting. I worked with Denette from RL Wyman Design + Create for this project. We had found a fun Wayfair desk for this room but it was back ordered and wasn’t going to make it in time, so we had to scramble last minute to get one! Denette found this statement making desk from RH and it was the big furniture splurge of the whole house! What do you think?!

I also wanted to make sure we had a live tree in this space for a feeling of nature & zen. This Magnolia tree that Cutting Edge potted for us, looks so stunning in the corner! Another detail I really adore about this space is the 3 arched built in shelves. I wanted them to offer both open and closed storage — Aspen Mill really delivered on the details for us! The shelves & cabinetry are in walnut with the custom stain we created called “Mollie Brown”. Isn’t it pretty?!

The spacious back closet offers additional storage and a secondary desk spot, perfect for an assistant! I love that there’s a window there too for more natural light. The wood and glass doors are something I sketched up & we had custom built to give this space a stately feel while also allowing some connection to the entry space. For easy access there’s an office door direct to the exterior too.

The space was finished off with a fun textural bronze light fixture, sculptural (and surprisingly affordable) arm chairs, a gorgeous leather desk chair and modern minimalist accents featuring lots of texture and shapes. Linking as many details below as I can for you!!
