Parade Home Tour: Mudroom + Bathroom
Another stop on the tour of this amazing home I got to work on with RL Wyman Design + Create. Also loved working with Cutting Edge Pools on the incredible landscape!! Check out the cutest European inspired side entrance that leads to a mudroom + bathroom that blend charm and function to perfectly serve the modern family.
Laying flagstone to this entrance was the perfect way to distinguish it from the front door (even though the massive scale of the front door also helps with this :), additionally, I just love the character added by a meandering flagstone path. It feels so welcoming & inviting!
The stunning glass door with side panels is from Soniq windows + doors in color Weimeraner by Benjamin Moore. And the accent wall with trim is also painted in Weimeraner to tie in.
The hooks used on the walnut trim piece are actually an Amazon find— the leather detail adds another texture and create a sense of that layered, lived-in aesthetic. Denette found that cute linen bag to hang on the hook from a local shop and we layered artwork on the ledge for added character that can be swapped out seasonally or feature kids artwork or family photos to customize the space! I’ll link the awesome frames/mats that are a total steal.
I also found that antique bench from a local store, but tracked down some similar ones on Etsy that I’ll link for you! Ohhh and how fun are those tall square umbrella baskets?? Found them on Wayfair! They’re so cute for layering in a corner + functional too.
I absolutely love how much storage this mudroom offers too. Both open and closed storage, cabinetry, drawers & hooks— making it easy to find a place for everything and keep the clutter out of sight! The locker area is so spacious and we tied in the Milan Ridgestone for character and interest in both the bathroom and the storage area. I love having a mirror in the mudroom so you can check your appearance before heading out the door and it also reflects light into the hallway. Plus some bench areas for sitting down to get shoes on and off.
And seriously… how cute is the powder bath?! I adore it. It’s the perfect blend of European touches and ties in so well with the rest of the mudroom. I love the raw organic feel with the stone elements mixed with the clean lines of the faucet & mirror. Plus the light fixture adds lots of character too.
